About YMCA

YMCA, the Young Men’s Christian Association, is the oldest and the biggest non-governmental and non-profit youth organisation in the world. Anyone can participate in YMCA programmes, regardless of age, religion, race, gender or social and political background. Through Christian values the YMCA desires to develop all sides of the human personality: body, mind and spirit.

The YMCA works in 119 countries and has around 58 million members.

The YMCA in the Czech Republic is a member of the World Alliance of YMCAs (WAY), the YMCA Europe (the European Alliance of YMCAs), the Czech Council of Children and Youth (ČRDM) and the Czech Olympic Committee (ČOV). We also cooperate with many other organisations at the national or local level.
