Ninety years ago, on 27 April 1928 the YMCA Palace in Prague was opened.
Originally it served as a dormitory for young men, who were coming to Prague in search of work. There were not only rooms available but also comprehensive facilities such as - a pool, a gym with a unique drooping jogging track, a cafe, an arcade with shops, offices, a library, club rooms, etc.
Come and join us in celebrating 90th birtday of our wonderful house! On Saturday 28 April 2018 from 10 a.m. in YMCA Palace (Na Poříčí 12, Prague 1).
What to expect: guided tours of the Palace, interesting facts about history of the house, guests (actor and Ambassador of YMCA, Mr. Jan Přeučil, director and one of the authors of the TV serie Šumná města, Mr. Radovan Lipus), ride in a cycle chain cabin lift - paternoster, and a party on the roof of the building.
